Dr. Qiyong Gong

Dr. Qiyong Gong, M.D., PhD.

Dr Qiyong Gong is a professor of radiology, psychiatry and neurology. He is currently the Director of the Medical Imaging Center in West China Hospital of Sichuan University, China, and the Deputy Chair of the MR academic committee of the Chinese Society of Radiology (CSR). Dr. Gong is also an Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Dr. Gong’s major contributions to neuroradiology involve the imaging characterization of neuro-psychiatric illness. He is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed articles including those on Am J Psychiat, Radiology, NeuroImage, JMRI, MRI and Neuroradiology, and is by far cited more than 450 times. Dr. Gong has given Invited Lectures to and also acted as the session moderator or chairmen at major international conferences including the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) and the Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR). In addition, he reviews for several scientific journals on MR imaging, normal brain and neuro-psychiatric diseases, amongst them Biological Psychiatry, NeuroImaging and Human Brain Mapping.
