Pablo Riera Ros is Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, and chairman of the Department of Radiology at Hospital de Sant Pau, Autonomus University of Barcellona. and he is Senior Consultant of the Department of Radiology at Birgham and Women's Hospital.
He is an Honorary Member of several National Radiological Societies. He serves in The Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists as Past President, the Interamerican College of Radiology, the Association of University Radiologists as Board Member, and the New England Roentgen Ray Society as Past President. Prof. Ros is a member of the Medical Imaging Advisory Committee of the Food and Drug Administration(FDA). He serves in several professional organizations such as the RSNA where he has chaired the Committee on International Relations and Education and the GI Radiology subcommittee and in addition is a member of the Program Committee of the RSNA’s Research and Education Foundation.
He holds eleven editorial positions. He has been Visiting Professor in over 65 countries and invited lecturer in over 30 countries. He is an Honorary Member of several National Radiological Societies. He has received the Gold Medal of the Interamerican College of Radiology, the Beclere Medal of the International Society of Radiology, the Academic Merit Award of the Mexican Society of Radiology and the Honorary Fellowship of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology.
His over 250 publications and 15 textbooks are primarily in Abdominal Imaging reflecting his research interests in liver, pancreatic, mesenteric and gastrointestinal cross sectional imaging with pathological correlation. He has recently developed an interest in medical and radiological English for healthcare professionals and has published two textbooks in this area.
