Herwig Imhof is Professor of Radiology and was Chairman of the Department of Radiology, Vienna Medical University, until 2008. He served in several European Subspeciality Societies as Congress and Society President, in particular of the International Skeletal Society (ISS) and European Skeletal Society (ESSR). As Member of the Organisation Committee of the European Congress of Radiology (1991 and 1993) he organised and was responsible for the first two scientific exhibitions. Prof. Herwig Imhof is a member of the Alumni-Board of the University of Chicago and Editor and Editorial Board Member of several internationally renowned journals like European Journal of Radiology (Elsevier) and Investigative Radiology. He is Honorary Member of the Belgian, Bulgarian, German, Hungarian and Austrian (2009) Radiological Society.
