Christian J. Herold is Professor of Radiology, Director of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Vienna Medical University and General Hospital (AKH) and Designated Chairman of the Department of Radiology and Radiologic Clinics, Vienna Medical University. He is also a part-time Faculty Member of the Department of Radiology at Johns Hopkins Institutions, Baltimore. He is currently first Vice-President of the ESR and has also served as President of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) and, as a renowned thoracic radiologist, was President of the Fleischner Society and of the European Society of Thoracic Imaging. He has Honorary Membership of the Hungarian Society of Radiologists and of the RSNA.
